The dependency on `make shell` is confusing and unnecessary since
`update-status-go.sh` script only requires availability of the
`nix-prefetch-url` utility to check SHA256 of the `status-go` verison.
Use of `make shell` with this script can also cause issues when running
`make run-android` if already in the shell, which prevents spawning a
new one and effectively stops changes to `status-go-verison.json` file
taking effect.

I have changed the behavior of loading notifications:
Before it would always use the same function and check for `cursor !=
""`.
This worked on most cases, but sometimes the user would jump back to the
home view without doing any clean up, so cursor would be `""` and it
would not load any notification anymore.
Now the two functions are split in initial load, and load-more.
Initial load is called on component-did-mount so we don't have to worry
about where the user is coming from. We also avoid multiple firing of
the events by checking `loading?`, so it does not result in duplicated
notifications.

Features added
An admin should receive a notification on android if a community request is made
Clicking on the push notification will take you to the list of requests
Changes to push notifications
Push notification for messages are grouped by chat, similarly to discord. Only the first notification in a chat will alert, the next will be "silent" notification. Meaning you will see the message but it will not alert. This is consistent with discord/whatsapp.
Clicking on a transaction notification will take you to wallet (not sure it was doing that before, but it might have)
Changed the behavior of the notification toggle, before Notifications and wallet transactions were separate, meaning you could have wallet transaction and Notifications disabled and you'd still receive transactions notifications. Now you need to have Notifications enabled to receive wallet transactions. Eventually we will have an option to toggle message notifications.
Technical details
Removes headless tasks, they were not used
Message notifications are passed unchanged to java, we still check if the chat is in the foreground, but no modifications are made to the notification object. This should get us closer to avoid clojure completely.
Merged the two notifications implementation (NewMessageSignalHandler and PushNotificationHelper). We should split maybe off in more meaningful classes, but there's less code duplication now, and it can be re-used for non-chat (communities) notifications.
Parsing of text for message notifications is done in status-go
Signal is not passed to status-react if notifications are not enabled
Next step
To completely remove notification code from status-react the following are required:
Java needs to be alerted of which chat is in the foreground and whether the app is in the foreground
Transaction notification body message need to be created in status-go
Notification signal needs to be stopped in Java
Limitations
If the name of a contact changes, the notification will not change, once is displayed, it won't be modified
Removed superfluous check
Adjusted images to be 50% the page width
Image width 75%

This commit fixes 2 issues.
One issue was due to removing tribute to talk, which added in the

this behavior.
The second issue was likely due to a react native upgrade which might

After clicking cancel, the popup is `dismissed`, so it will not appear again
Selecting a new mail server sets `dismissed` as false, so the error can appear again
In release `1.7.0` we had an issue with `status-go` version `v0.62.3.hotfix.3`
not matching [Semantic Versionig](https://semver.org/#spec-item-11) so a fix was
introduced in https://github.com/status-im/status-react/pull/11331 that made the regex a bit more lax.
Again in `1.9.0` we had the same issue and the release not appears as `develop`
instead of the actual `status-go` version, which this time was `0.63.8+hotfix.2`.
Notice the `+` instead of `-` or `.` before `hotfix.2`.
I've added `+` to allowed characters after the 3 digit standard version format.

Signed-off-by: andrey <motor4ik@gmail.com>
When selecting an image from camera roll we would immediately setting
the filepath with the raw image, process and later once it was processed
we would replace the file path.
On slow devices, the user might press send while the image is still
processing, causing the raw image to be sent, which might be discarded
as too large and never sent.
This commit changes the behavior so that we only set the uri once the
image is processed, it might add some delay, but the image should be
correctly sent.
Signed-off-by: Andrea Maria Piana <andrea.maria.piana@gmail.com>
There's an issue reported on slow devices when sending a batch of
images.
All the requests are send concurrently, and the sending of messages is
processed concurrently in the background.
On slow devices or connection with slow upload speed this may result in
expired envelopes, as the POW calculation or the upload takes too long,
and either they never leave the device, or worse they reach the
mailserver but won't be stored because already expired on arrival.
This commit allows setting the max-images-batch config value, setting it
to 1 for release and keeping it to 5 for other builds.

The issue was due to a nil pointer exception with the

This was due to the fact that initialization comes from the database and
not from status-react, so on upgrade it would not be available.

Using different temporary keychains does not work if we do not set
`default_keychain=true`, because `codesign` then can't find the cert:
```
error: No signing certificate "iOS Distribution" found: No "iOS Distribution" signing certificate matching team ID
```
But if we set `default_keychain=true` then we cause a race condition
when the keychain is deleted by a parallel job while another is using it
as its default.
For this reason we have to use a static keychain name and keep it
between builds.
I tried disabling `default_keychain=true` in #11378 but it worked only
because the default user keychain already had the cert.

Keychain created only for that specific build and unlocked in advance.
By doing it this way we can avoid issues with `errSecInternalComponent`

That issue is now fixed. It's still not going to be 100% accurate as
in some languages characters are displayed together if they come one
after the other, but this PR should make it much safer.
To overcome this we could cap the UI input to something a bit lower
(3000 characters for example) and that should give us some room.
This commit includes a migration of the database fixing an issue with
long filenames on desktop.

Previously we used both "keycard" and "hardwallet" names for stuff
related to keycard. It can be confusing as "hardwallet" might be used
for other hardwallets in future.
This updates a bunch of things in the Jenkins logic.
For details of that see:
https://github.com/status-im/status-react-jenkins/pull/12
It grew out of the changes I made to make PR builds available in Desktop client:
https://github.com/status-im/nim-status-client/pull/507
Changes:
- Bump `status-react-jenkins` library to newer version, probably `1.2.0`
- Update use of `utils.pkgFilename()` in `ci/Jenkinsfile.combined`
- Make all iOS builds go into the same folder: `status-ios`
- Drop e2e build type, infer it from Android ABIs set to `x86` only
- Simplify logic in `nix/mobile/android/release.nix.`

Fixes#9803 --the height of the banner was cutting off banner messages spanning multiple lines
Due to the animation of the view surrounding the banner text, calculate the banner height, then re-render the banner with the updated height.
Render a view that wraps not only the message banner itself, but also a hidden (0-opacity and absolutely positioned) view with the banner text that calculates the height of the banner during the `on-layout` event. The banner height calculation causes the reagent atom value change to re-render the banner view with the udpated height.
1. There is an animation on the message banner. The "out" animation (ie when the banner is in the process of disappearing) seems to work correctly. However, there did not seem to be an "in" animation. I'm fairly confident these changes did not break any existing animations, however it's worth noting this so that others who are more familiar with the existing codebase may be in a better place to say otherwise.
2. Testing during changes was done by dispatching the `network-info-changed` event like so:
```
(re-frame/dispatch [::network-info-changed {:isConnected false}])
```

As reported in #10127 there's an issue that the log level isn't properly
applied when changed through log settings UI.
Turned out that we're setting the log-level only once in the entire
lifetime of the application and that is during bootstrap.
When the log level is changed through the UI, we never actually update
the log level in the logger module.
To fix this, we just need to ensure that, whenever the log-level is changed,
we also call `log/set-level!` with the new level.
It should also be noted that, every time the log level is changed through
the UI, the user is logged out, so one place to update the logger is
after very successful login.

The index for message was fairly inefficient as it was only using the
cursor, as it was referring to the old chat_id field.
This meant that newer messages would be fetched much faster then older
messages.
The index has been changed so that now it includes local_chat_id
(which is currently used for filtering), and not using hide.
The reason being is that hide is a low cardinality index, so there's
no performance benefit to have it in, also it's mostly ignored by the
query planner.

This commit does a few things:
Move collections top level
Move `messages`,`message-lists`,`pagination-info` from nested in
`chats` to top level at the db.
The reason for this change is that if any of the `messages` fields
change, any `sub` that relies on `chat` will be recomputed, which is
unnecessary.
Move chat-name to events
`chat-name` was computed dynamically, while it is now only calculated
when loading chat the first time around.
Remove `enrich-chats`
Enrich chats was doing a lot of work, and many subscriptions were
relying on it.
Not all the computations were necessary, for example it would always
calculate the name of who invited the user to a group chat, regardless
of whether it was actually used in the view.
This commit changes that behavior so that we use smaller subscriptions
to calculate such fields.
In general we should move computations to events, if that's not
desirable (there are some cases where we might not want to do that), we
should have "bottom/leaf heavy" subscriptions as opposed to "top heavy",
especially if they are to be shared, so only when (and if) we load that
particular view, the subscription is triggered, while others can be
re-used.
I have compared performance with current release, and there's a
noticeable difference. Opening a chat is faster (messages are loaded
faster), and clicking on the home view on a chat is more responsing
(the animation on-press is much quicker).

The mess with regexes is hard to read and think about which is why it
had bugs with handling some Gradle formats.
It also lowers further the number of dependencies pulled from 785 to 744.
Changes:
- Added `gradle_parser.awk` script for getting dependencies from Gradle
- Changed the `deps.urls` file to contain full URLs to POMs
- Dropped the `deps.urls.old` part since `get_urls.sh` no longer exists
- Added `CLR` for learing line to `scripts/colors.sh`
- Wrote a new `nix/deps/gradle/README.md`

This commit adds parsing of markdown in the chat subheader.
Because of the added complexity performance are impacted but I have
also noticed that on each loading of the chat screen we calculate
alias & identicon through status-go, so that has been changed so that
they are returned from status-go.
Overall performance is now roughly identical, tested loading 150
one-to-one chats.
Another issue that I've spotted is that some `subs` are unnecessarely
recalculated (`active-chats`), when unrelated fields changes. I will
address this in a separate PR that should improve performance.

This Go package was implemented by me to avoid having to use Mavan or
Gradle to resolve all the dependencies for Nix:
https://github.com/status-im/go-maven-resolver
The Go tool is essentially a slightly smarter and more efficient version
of the `get_urls.sh` script, which was mostly slow due to the `mvn
dependency:list` calls and slow HTTP requests.
This takes down the `make nix-update-gradle` target to under 2 minutes
on my machine.

Before in order to create `deps.nodejs-patched` the `deps.gradle` would
also have to be downloaded in order to patch `build.gradle` files with
path to the Gradle dependencies in Nix store.
It turns out just replacting lines referencing `mavenCentral()`,
`google()`, and `jcenter()` in `repositories` block is enough to make
Gradle properly fetch dependencies from repo provided via the command
line `-Dmaven.repo.local='${deps.gradle}` option.
This should reduce the required size for shells that don't use Gradle.

Before we stored only the message-id and had a subscription pulling the
message from the database when replying to the message.
This broke once we implemented offloading of messages, as the message
might not be in the database anymore.
This commit fixes the issue by storing the full message in the database,
so in the event of it being offloaded it is still shown.

As discussed in #10326 and later in https://github.com/status-im/status-go/issues/1939, it turns out
that, when a user tries to add an account (from a seed phrase), while an account
with the same address (that the seed phrase would result in) exists in the application
state, the application would still go ahead and store the derived account in
status-go.
After that it still reports to the user that the 'Account already exits'.
This commit ensures that Status doesn't try to store the derived account when
the account already exists in the application database.

Usage of `Keycard.generateMnemonic` is removed from the code as we
always generate new multiaccounts on status-go side. Previously it was
misused and was called with intention of generation of mnemonic for an
existing keycard multiacc.
In some cases message confirmations might arrive out of order, before
status-go calls the callback for a sent message.
This commit changes the behavior so that confirmations out of order are
not ignored and they are checked when the callback for sending message
is called.

Before if a reply was missing (for example if it the message replied to
arrived after the reply) status-react would subscribe to it dynamically
and use that. This caused some flickering issues when offloading the
messages from the database, as the message being replied to would be
offloaded and later loaded back again, triggering scroll and ending up
in a loop.
This commit changes the behavior so that status-go always adds the
reply to the message. In case the message being replied to arrives after
the reply, this will be included in the message update, and status-react
will replace it in the local storage.

This commit ensures that a user can flawlessly interact with a keycard,
regardless of the moment when the card was tapped to the device. To make
it so:
- in case if the card was tapped before the interaction the user doesn't
need to re-connect card to continue
- in case if the connection with the card was lost during the interaction
the application restarts that interaction as soon as the card was
connected again (unless the user canceled the flow)
While on tabs we want a slightly different behavior:
Unread counter should increase, message should be loaded in the chat
On moving to the chat tab from one of these tabs, it should mark the
messages as seen.

This PR extracts all the ci/*.groovy scripts into a separate private repo located at:
https://github.com/status-im/status-react-jenkins
The main reasons for a separate repo are:
* Hiding the internal details of our CI setup
* Hiding names of Jenkins credentials available in CI jobs
* Lowering attack surface for malicious external contributors
* Increasing focus on PRs related to CI setup
You can read more about how Jenkins pipeline shared libraries work here:
https://jenkins.io/doc/book/pipeline/shared-libraries/
In simple terms I've added the repo to the main Jenkins configuration in "Global Pipeline Libraries" section and load it using:
library 'status-react-jenkins@master'
Which makes globally available all of the libraries defined in the `vars` directory of that repo.
This also eliminates the need for statements like `android = load 'ci/android.groovy'`.

Using last visible message ignores an edge case:
If we are on top of the list (i.e oldest message), any received message
should be appended (it must be visible).
When using last-visible message for this, a newer message will have <
clock-value, therefore it will be offloaded to the database, which is
not correct.
Instead if we use the first-not-visible message, this should not be a
problem. If we are on top of the list, this will be nil, and therefore
the message will be appended.

This commit does a few things:
1) Messages are offloaded from any chat once we go back from the home.
This allows us to ignore any message that is coming in from a chat we
are not currently focused.
2) After 5 seconds of not-scrolling activity, any received message that
is not currently visible will be offloaded to the database.
3) Similarly received messages that are not visible will be offloaded to
the database directly

as app's dir is changed after upgrade. The solution is to store relative

Android. `LogDir` config was added to allow adding of custom dir for log

Front end changes:
As there is no guarantee that `newblock` event will be dispatched
consequently (e.g. if there was a delay after block#1 the next event
might be dispatched for a block#2000, no guarantee that block#2 will be
the next one), `newTransactions` field was added with a map of accounts
to the number of new transactions received to this block. In result if
there are new transactions we request them all of db instead of fetching
them on for the block specified in `newblock` event, as it was done
previously.
Back end changes:
- In order to avoid handling of the reorganized blocks we use an offset
from the latest known block when start listening to new blocks. Before
this commit the offset was 15 blocks for all networks. This offset is
too big for mainnet and causes noticeable delay of marking a transfer as
confirmed in Status (comparing to etherscan). So it was changed to be 5
blocks on mainnet and is still 15 blocks on other networks.
- Also before this commit all new blocks were handled one by one with
network specific interval (10s for mainnet), which means that in case of
lost internet connection or application suspension (happens on iOS)
receiving of new blocks would be paused and then resumed with the same
"speed" - 1 blocks per 10s. In case if that pause is big enough the
application would never catch up with the latest block in the network,
and this also causes the state of transfers to be delayed in the
application. In this commit in case if there was more than 40s delay
after receiving of the previous block the whole history in range between
the previous received block and ("latest"-reorgeSafetyDepth) block is
checked at once and app catches up with a recent state of the chain.
We should only start receiving messages/processing topics once all the
initializiation is completed, so an endpoint that start the messenger
has been added.
Before we would initialize the topics/receiving messages at the same time,
which resulted in a race condition where a topic was signaled from
status-go and was considered new just because was not loaded yet.

This commit fixes a couple of issues.
The first one is that when we go from offline->cellular-network->wifi
historical requests were not triggered (only when going from
offline->online, but if they are disabled in cellular network they won't
fire).
The second is due to the fact that it is possible that the connection
status gets into a bad state, (this happens for example if get-latency
returns all errors, but we are online, and it won't be retried), and no
connection attempt is made anymore.
I have changed the logic to periodically check the connection state, and
try to connect if too much time has passed since last error (10s),
similarly to what we did before, but in a tick, so we are less reliant
on having the right state in the db.

- [ ] 4. Create release branch using this [guide](https://github.com/status-im/status-react/blob/develop/doc/RELEASE_GUIDE.md), bump VERSION (merge created PR ([example](https://github.com/status-im/status-react/pull/12504) ) to develop) and get successful release builds (so, testing can be started)
- [ ] 5. Based on release scope, ask for comms (Jonny)
- [ ] 6. Make sure that assets (screenshots, video) in stores are up-to-date, more info [here](https://notes.status.im/how-to-update-assets)
#### 2) Testing
[comment]: # (Section will be maintained by QA)
- [ ] Dogfooding (add notes, if it was held)
- [ ] Regression testing for release candidate build
- [ ] Upgrade tests
- [ ] Fix known blocker(s) found during regression testing
##### Blockers
[comment]: # (Section for blocker issues; should be fixed and merged by release-manager. Remove if no blockers found)
- [ ] 2. Release notes written and added (500 character limit for updates (Android) and PR for [RELEASES.md](https://github.com/status-im/status-react/blob/develop/RELEASES.md) is ready to be merged (from 1.3 step)
- [ ] 3. Submit beta version for Android (Open Testing in Play Store)
- [ ] 4. Submit iOS build to Apple review ([instruction](https://drive.google.com/file/d/10Cl7PBB7TFPkZiVbfzdFGpfMRP9bxXuq/view?usp=sharing), be careful - low quality of audio)
- [ ] 5. Play store content reviewed and updated
- [ ] 6. Privacy policy reviewed and updated (ask in channel)
- [ ] 7. Countries to be excluded (ask in channel)
- [ ] 8. Changes to our FAQ made (should be checked and if any changes needed, ask Jakub to made them)
#### 4) Before publishing
- [ ] 1. Translations for comms available (marketing, ask in the channel)
- [ ] 3. Upload builds for DO store, https://dev.status.im/ (Jakub)
#### 5) At time of publishing
- [ ] 1. Notify marketing to push comms and blog post (Jonny + get review on blog from QA team)
- [ ] 2. Publish release to app store and playstore
- [ ] 3. Final push to update prod site https://status.im/, [instructions](https://github.com/status-im/infra-docs/blob/master/articles/status_release_upload.md) (Jakub - requires credentials to upload)
- [ ] 4. Add the link to the post about the release and publish the release: https://github.com/status-im/status-react/releases (Jakub)
1. copy files to corresponding directories at `/Users/romanvolosovskyi/clj/status-react/android/app/src/main/res` (one of `drawable-hdpi`, `drawable-mdpi`, `drawable-xhdpi`, `drawable-xxhdpi`, `drawable-xxxhdpi` for corresponding resolution)
If you only have 3 pngs 1x, 2x and 3x put them in mdpi, xhdpi and xxhdpi
3. if necessary, rename file so that filename contains only lower case chars, and dashes instead of hyphens, e.g. `"Icon-Name.png"` should be renamed to `"icon_name.png"`.
4. In the app `icon_name.png` still can be accessed as `icon-name`, so in order to use can add the next code:
```clojure
;; icon_name.png
[vector-icons/icon :icon-name {:color ...}]
```
## ios
1. open xcode (on macos run `open ios/StatusIm.xcworkspace` from project's root dir)
2. go to `StatusIm/StatusIm/Images.xcassets` in xcode
4. if necessary, rename file so that filename contains only lower case chars, e.g. `"Icon-Name.png"` should be renamed to `"icon-name"`.
5. **IMPORTANT** there is no need to replace hyphens with dashes, and if you do so you will need to use names with dashes in both android and ios versions. So use dashes for android resources names and hyphens for ios.
6. And now `"icon-name"` can be added in app the same way as it was added for android version

Our software is only as good as its documentation, head over to our [docs](https://status.im/docs) and see how you can improve what we have.

It's bug hunting season! Status is currently in Alpha and there is sure to be a bunch of learning, [build status from scratch](https://status.im/build_status/) or if an android user check out our [nightly builds](https://status.im/nightly). You can shake your phone to submit bug reports, or start browsing our [Github Issues](http://github.com/status-im/status-react/issues). Every bug you find brings Status closer to stable, usable software for everyone to enjoy!

You are given permission to break Status as hard as you can, as long as you share your findings with the community!
