Remove ValidationMode.Always for StatusInputs because by default they
are invalid and validate input when dirty
Remove condition from errorMessage of BackupSeedStepBase as not needed.
Fixes#6825
Requires https://github.com/status-im/StatusQ/pull/858
BREAKING CHANGE: StatusInputs are invalid by default and validate when
dirty.
`tst_languageSettings`:
- Feature and basic scenarios definition: Change language by selection and change language by search.
- Added `StatusLanguageScreen` class and related methods to change and validate language.
`SquishDriver`:
- Added support to scroll at a specific list view index.
- Added support to directly type into a focused element.
`settings_names.py`:
- Added support for object names related to `side bar` options.
- Unified some nomenclature related to settings objects.

stuff like headline fonts, overall margins, etc)
Closes: #6623
Currently there is no need in the app for creating a pass via `CreatePasswordModal`
removed that support from the modal to avoid confusion about its usage.
- startup, login and onboarding modules merged into the single one
- `State` class introduced which is the base class for all states, every state
determines what is the next state in each of 3 possible actions, and what
is the previous state, if it has previous state
- `StateWrapper` class is introduced as a convenient way to expose
`State`'s props and deal with them on the qml side
- startup module maintains states as a linked list and there are few convenient
methods to move through the list `onBackActionClicked`, `onNextPrimaryActionClicked`
`onNextSecondaryActionClicked`, `onNextTertiaryActionClicked`
- redundant code removed

TLDR; since this is a GridView, it needs a width/height set and then
centered on top of the parent component (as opposed to `anchors.fill`)
Also added a scroll indicator in case the window height is not tall
enough and fixed some small warnings
Fixes#6220
Fixes the issue with the mutual contact icon showing when just added.
It also does a huge cleanup of the codebase to remove isContact and replace it with either isAdded, when we care only about if we added, or isMutualContact if we want the contact to be mutual
Also fixes an issue with the MessageContextMenu not reflecting the added state correctly.
The warning to back up the seedphrase should disappear after either
dismissing the message, or in fact backing up the seed phrase.
The latter was not happening because the banner didn't take that
information into account. This commit fixes this by ensuring we let the
banner know whether the seed phrase was already backed up.
Notice that we don't want to render the banner when the seed phrase has
*not* been backed up yet, but was dismissed by the user.

Apart of all properties we have, now we have 3 new added props which will be used
almost always when we need the following details about logged in user:
- `name` - this will return an ens name in a pretty form or an alias if ens name
was not set (verified). Apart of this there are still `username` and `ensName`
properties for fetching them when it's needed.
- `icon` - this will return a thumbnail image if it's set, otherwise it will
return identicon. Apart of this there are still `identicon` and `thumbnailImage`
properties for fetching them when it's needed.
- `isIdenticon` - this will return `false` if a thumbnail image is set, otherwise
it will return `true`

cause it logically doesn't belong there as it is not a service. It is a global

This does a couple of things:
- It remove StatusRadioButton row from ui/shared/status
- Introduces RadioButtonSelector in ui/shared/controls instead
- That component is then built with StatusQ
This bug was introduced with the profile refactor to use stores. Due to
copy and paste, the wrong expression is used in the settings to display chat

There is a bug in the store property accessed for the profile image.

This feature works for MacOs only, for now.
On login, whether new or already created user may select between options:
"Store" - store password to the Keychain
"Not now" - don't store it now, but ask next time again
"Never" - don't store them ever and don't ask again
Selected preference may be changed later in:
`ProfileSettings > Privacy and security > Store pass to Keychain`
On the next app run, if `Store` was selected, a user will be asked to confirm
his identity using Touch Id in order to log in the app. If any error happens
he will be able to login using password.

App is responsive to the OS theme change event.
Now we're following system set theme when the app is started.
Corresponding part on the side on nimqml is added.
Corresponding part on the side on dotherside is added.
On the side of dother side we had kind of a memory leak, cause objects added to
the filter were not deleted ever. When the app is closing, it just removes
filters, but doesn't delete them.
I faced a logical issue, that we were sending qmlengine pointer to the
installEventFilter method, instead object which may or may not rely on the
qqmlengine instance, that is fixed also.

Fixes#2533
Fixes#2448.
Currently, if a wrong password is entered when generating a wallet account, the app will crash due to attempting to decode a `GeneratedAccount ` from an rpc response containing only an error.
With this PR, we are detecting if an error is returned in the response, and if so, raising a StatusGoException. This exception is caught in the call chain, and translated in to a `StatusGoError` which is serialised and sent to the QML view, where it is parsed and displayed as an invalid password error in the input box.
refactor: remove string return values as error messages in wallet model
In the wallet model, we were passing back empty strings for no error, or an error as a string. This is not only confusing, but does not benefit from leaning on the compiler and strong types. One has to read the entire code to understand if a string result is returned when there is no error instead of implicitly being able to understand there is no return type.
To alleviate this, account creation fundtions that do not need to return a value have been changed to a void return type, and raise `StatusGoException` if there is an error encountered. This can be caught in the call chain and used as necessary (ie to pass to QML).
refactor: move invalid password string detection to Utils
Currently, we are reading returned view model values and checking to see if they include a known string from Status Go that means there was an invalid password used. This string was placed in the codebased in mulitple locations.
This PR moves the string check to a Utils function and updates all the references to use the function in Utils.
Fixes: #2257.
If a user had selected a watch-only address in the wallet, the backend `walletModel.currentAccount` property would also change. When loading a transaction modal, this property was used to set the `selectedAccount` value for the “from” `AccountSelector`, regardless if the account was a watch-only address.
This PR updates the logic for `selectedAccount` such that it will only allow the account to be selected if it is not a watch-only account.
A `StatusIcon` that rotates infinitely and can be used for indicating
pending states.
Usage:
```
StatusLoadingIndicator {
width: 24 // default: 17
height: 24 // default: 17
color: "red" // default: loading asset color
}
```
This also removes `LoadingImage` component from `ui/shared`.
Closes#2360
As discussed in https://github.com/status-im/status-desktop/issues/2144#issuecomment-817791172 and https://github.com/status-im/status-desktop/discussions/2145, it's no longer desired
to have different appearance settings across multiple accounts.
Instead, the appearance setting should apply globally to all accounts,
essentially bypassing the individual setting stored in status-go.
This commit introduces a new global setting called `theme` which,
at the time of introducing this commit, can be either:
0 => Light
1 => Dark
2 => System
Because those enum values matches the `AppearanceContainer.Theme` enum,
this commit removes it completely and simply relies on QML's built-in
`Universal.[Light|Dark|System] variants respectively.
Closes#2144
This commit introces global settings that apply across accounts used
inside the application. This is useful when settings like the selected
locale should b the same across all accounts.
Closes#2144
There was a bad merge in PR #2225 that caused the QML propery `activeMailserver` in `SyncContainer` to be stripped out. This was causing an error in the console: `qrc:/app/AppLayouts/Profile/Sections/SyncContainer.qml:16: Error: Cannot assign to non-existent property "activeMailserver”`.
This PR adds the property back in and resolves the issue.
Fixes#2143.
Methuselah is the a task manager for long-running tasks. It allows fo registration of workers that will each run in their own thead. Each worker can pass messages to and recieve messages from the main thread.
MailserverWoker was also introduced which moves all mailserver model logic to a MethuselahWorker. All communication to/from the model is done via a MethuselahTask. Results of the task are returned to the main thread by way of `signal_handler`, which calls the QtObject slot specified in the task.
Mailsever also provides a way for the model to emit events inside of the worker. These events are forwarded to the main thread via the `receiveEvent` slot of the `MailserverController`.

When the profile popup is opened inside the contacts list, it doesn't have
a surrounding window context (`Popup` types should usually be used within `ApplicationWindow`
or `Window` components as per https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qml-qtquick-controls2-popup.html).
This is problematic when popup are nested, like it's the case with the
nickname popup that will be instantiated by the profile popup.
With no window context, such nested popup can't be opened by the application.
This commit ensures the profile popup is created with a proper context,
fixing the issue that the nickname popup won't open when visting via
contacts list.
Fixes#2216
There are some inconcistencies in the application when it comes to
button UI elements because we're using `StatusButton` in some places,
in other we use `StyledButton`. The latter is the original
component we've created when we started out building Status
Desktop, but is planned to be removed entirely in favour of
`StatusButton`.
This commit replaces the usages of `StyledButton` with `StatusButton`
There's a but in the app's profile section where the link to
invite friends is never rendered, even if the currently logged-in
user has no added contacts.
This is because the UI refers to the count of *all* contacts the
user has (even removed ones - remember that, once added, removing
a contact is only done by removing a tag).
This commit ensures that the invitation link is rendered by
relying on the *added* contacts list. It also prevents the
"blocked contacts" button from rendered when there's no blocked
contacts.
Adding a contact through the Add Contact Modal isn't working because the
function being called to add a contact doesn't actually exist.
This was most likely a mistake as the change was just to call that function
in question from a different property.
This commit does exactly that.
Fixes#1660
The contact list was taking the entire width of its surrounding element,
making it grow too wide to be usable (see #1589).
In fact, it's not following the designs made for this part of the application,
so this commit changes the max layout width to align with the intended
design and should also fix some of the usability issues mentioned in #1589Fixes#1589
The "more actions" button in the contacts list had some hard coded colors
for its hover effect which break the experience in dark mode.
This commit makes changes those so that they work universally.
Fixes#1377.
Fixes#1479.
Two sites have been added to the whitelist: giphy.com and tenor.com.
`imageUrls` in its entirety has been removed and instead all links are being handle through the message `linkUrls`. This prevents double-handling of urls that may or may not be images.
The logic to automatically show links previews works like this:
1. If the setting "display chat images" is enabled, all links that *contain* ".png", ".jpg", ".jpeg", ".svg", ".gif" will be automatically shown. If the URL doesn't contain the extension, we are not downloading it. This was meant to be somewhat of a security compromise as we do not want to download each and every link posted in a message just to find out its true content type.
2. If the above setting is *disabled*, then we follow the whitelist settings for tenor and giphy. This allows us to preview gifs that do not have a file extension in their url.
feat: bump status-go to the commit that supports the new whitelist (https://github.com/status-im/status-go/pull/2094), and also lets us get link preview data from urls in the whitelist. NOTE: this commit was branched off status-go `develop`, so once it is merged, and we update this PR to the new commit, we will effectively be getting status-go develop changes. We *could* base that status-go PR off of master if it makes things easier.
fix: height on settings update issue
feat: move date/time of message below links
fix: layout issues when changing setting `neverAskAboutUnfurlingAgain`
feat: Add MessageBorder component to aid in showing rounded corners with different radius
In timeline status update messages we want to render the ENS name next to a
local nickname in case it exists. This commit extends the `UsernameLabel` to do
just that.
Closes#1488
The transaction component's `reset` functionality was meant ot reset a form when the modal was closed. It was difficult to manage and added extra overhead for each additional transaction modal created.
Instead of using reset functions, we can use Loaders to load and destroy the modal's as they are opened and closed. We do not need to keep them in memory and then also reset their functions. It creates a smaller memory footprint to destroy the object and reload on open.
feat: load gas prediction prices asynchronously
I noticed that the 1:1 chat commands were not able to send token transactions due to "intrinsic gas too low" error. I quickly realised there there were a few components missing, which have been fixed.
*feat: update the 1:1 chat commands transaction modal to allow editing of the from account and network fee*
The TransactionStackGroup was updated slightly to allow manual control of back/next actions.
Fixes#870.
*fix: Create distinct modal transaction actions*
Previously, adding `Connection`s for the `walletModel.transactionWasSent` signal in different dialogs would cause the signal to be handled in the wrong dialog. The solution was to pass a `uuid` from the requesting dialog, and include the `uuid` in the response, so that only requests that were requested from the dialog would be handled.
*fix: update 1:1 translations*
All the translations were not being translated for me. I noticed that they did not exist in the `.ts` translation files either.
