## Introduction
|
|
|
|
Altair is the first beacon chain hard fork. Its main features are:
|
|
|
|
* sync committees to support light clients
|
|
* incentive accounting reforms to reduce spec complexity
|
|
* penalty parameter updates towards their planned maximally punitive values
|
|
|
|
