Summary:
Issue [#2088](https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/2088).
The basic desire is to have a declarative mechanism to transform text content to uppercase or lowercase or titlecase ("capitalized").
My test plan involves having added a test-case to the RNTester app within the `<Text>` component area. I then manually verified that the rendered content met my expectation.
Here is the markup that exercises my enhancement:
```
<View>
<Text style={{ textTransform: 'uppercase'}}>
This text should be uppercased.
</Text>
<Text style={{ textTransform: 'lowercase'}}>
This TEXT SHOULD be lowercased.
</Text>
<Text style={{ textTransform: 'capitalize'}}>
This text should be CAPITALIZED.
</Text>
<Text style={{ textTransform: 'capitalize'}}>
Mixed:{' '}
<Text style={{ textTransform: 'uppercase'}}>
uppercase{' '}
</Text>
<Text style={{ textTransform: 'lowercase'}}>
LoWeRcAsE{' '}
</Text>
<Text style={{ textTransform: 'capitalize'}}>
capitalize each word
</Text>
</Text>
</View>
```
And here is a screenshot of the result:

Summary:
Changed StyleSheet.create to be the identity function. We no longer hide it behind an opaque number. Better for types and perf since we don't use it.
I don't really know if we have/need any safer way of rolling this out than just landing it.
It can break if the object passed to StyleSheet.create is mutated afterwards but that isn't a practice anywhere I've seen.

This type is being used in many places where a much simpler type is often better. In a real pinch this type can still be accessed as so:
```
function returnsStyleSheet(
): $Call<typeof StyleSheet.create, *> {
return StyleSheet.create({
root: {
background: 'white',
}
})
}
returnsStyleSheet().foo // foo doesn't exist
returnsStyleSheet().root // okay
Summary:
These types were polymorphic so that stricter types could be passed in for dimension or color. For example, color could be a union of allowed colors. However, since `rgb(0,0,0)` is a valid color, these would have to be allowed opaque types and every creator or caller of these colors would have to use a function.
This would require a massive change to every RN product in the world for negligable gain because StyleSheet values are validated at dev at runtime and cause redboxes for invalid uses.
Since we don't plan to adopt these widely, lets clean up the complexity of these types.
There are some errors I noticed after upgrading my flow version. I had them in my project, and they were also reported in #11655. These errors were ignored on master, but I went through and fixed them so the static analysis will work still.
After these changes, I receive no errors using flow `0.60.1` on latest master, or using `0.59` in my local project (which does not have the requisite ignores included).
- init a new project
`react-native init --version <path-to-repo> helloworld`
- add the flow binary
`yarn add -D flow-bin`
- run flow
`yarn flow`
- make sure there are no errors in the project.
```
No errors!

Summary:
Nice addition of the recent Flow types for style props in 9c29ee1504, however I think there are some slight issues in the definition.
`type Styles = {[key: string]: Object}` makes sense, as it's referring to the set of named style groups a user creates a `StyleSheet` from, e.g.
```javascript
const styles: StyleSheet = StyleSheet.create({
container: {
height: 20
},
text: {
color: '#999',
fontSize: 12,
},
}: Styles)
```
However `type StyleValue = {[key: string]: Object}` doesn't make sense. You actually want only the `Object` portion of that definition, presuming it's meant to be used like below:
```javascript
type MyTextProps = {
style: StyleProp,
}
<MyText style={{ color: '#999', fontSize: 12 }}>Hello</Text>
```
---
I've also added `void` to the `StyleValue`, as undefined seems to be handled fine, and can be a useful shorthand in JSX.
---
And finally, I've allowed nesting of style prop arrays, by making StyleProp self-referencing, as RN seems to flatten those without issue. This can be important if you're passing in a style prop quite high up the component tree, and sticking it in an array with other styles at several points while it's passed down.
N/A (These types aren't referenced anywhere else)

Summary:
The relevant changes in the PR are to Libraries/StyleSheet/EdgeInsetsPropType.js; the rest are just removals of FlowIgnores.
The definition of the relevant types is [here](https://github.com/facebook/flow/blob/master/lib/react.js#L262-L271).
The long and short of it is that for whatever reason, Flow is unable to realize that `ReactPropsChainableTypeChecker` is a subtype of `ReactPropsCheckType` unless we assert it. Once we explicitly hint this to the typechecker, it realizes that `EdgeInsetsPropType` is indeed a valid React PropType, and stops complaining that it isn't.
