If someone wants to add you as a contact in Status, you need to share your profile with them. You can share your profile link or your QR code containing that link with your [chat key][your-chatkey-emojihash-and-identicon-ring]. They can use either of those to [add you to their contacts][add-a-contact-in-status].

## Share your Status profile

    1. From the tab bar, tap :mobile-messages: **Messages**.
    1. From the top navigation, tap :mobile-qr-code: **QR code**.
    1. Share your QR code or profile link with your future contact. You can also tap :mobile-share: **Share** to send your profile link to someone via SMS or a different app.

    1. Click your profile picture in the bottom-left corner.
    1. Click :desktop-profile: **View my profile**.
    1. Share your QR code or profile link with your future contact.
