# Permissions
To fix the permissions of your eth.key file in Windows:
 - Right-click 'eth.key' file 
 - Properties
 - Security
 - Advanced
 - Add -> Select a principal -> Advanced -> Find now
 - Select you user from the list
 - OK -> OK
 - Check: "Full control", "Modify", "Read&exe", "Read", "Write"
 - OK
 - Disable inheritance -> Confirm warning
 - Apply and close
 - Apply and close
